Allison Beatty

Graduate Research Assistant

Allison Beatty is a graduate student at the UNC School of Information and Library Science. With a background in English literature, culinary and pastry arts, computer science, and bookselling, she is currently interested in user experience design, human-computer interaction, and digital activism and community organization. She is passionate about accessibility, user centered design, and human relationships to information. At the Global Food Research Program, Allison assists with webpage accessibility and design as well as research dissemination.

My family’s holiday favorite is… carrot soufflé.

My favorite song about food is… “Vegetables” by the Beach Boys.

My favorite things to bake are… any King Arthur recipe or chocolate chip cookies.
