Carolyn is a doctoral student in the Department of Health Behavior at Gillings School of Global Public Health. She is interested in the intersection of nutrition, agriculture, and equity. Carolyn previously held research and project management positions at the University of California Nutrition Policy Institute, USDA Economic Research Service, and the Harvard University Food Literacy Project.
The first thing I learned to cook was… risotto. My mama set me up at the stove with a stool and a spoon.
My “go-to” comfort food is… fruit snacks.
