Tova Rose Burton

Graduate research assistant

Tova Burton is a dietetic intern completing a six-week rotational internship with the Global Food Research Program. She studied psychology, public health, and pre-law at the University of Colorado Boulder before earning her MPH in Nutrition and Dietetics from UNC-Chapel Hill. Tova’s professional interests center on food policy and labeling regulation, working at the intersection of science communication, public health, and systems-level food policy. She is especially passionate about making evidence-based nutrition information more accessible and reducing nutrition-related fear-mongering in public discourse. Following her internship, Tova hopes to pursue a career in regulatory affairs, labeling, or food policy, bridging the gap between scientific research and consumer-facing communication. Outside of work, Tova is a musician, is currently writing a romance novel, and stays active through yoga and weightlifting. She has a cat, Pickles, which she will happily show you many photos of.
