FERN Fellow, 2022
Sydni Wright joined the Global Food Research program for the inaugural 2022 FERN summer fellowship between her sophomore and junior years at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she majors in public health and minors in Spanish. While here, Sydni conducted a literature review exploring East Durham’s food apartheid. She is interested in healthcare management, policy-making, and researching health disparities locally and nationally. She hopes to pursue a career that encompasses all of these interests.
My “go to” comfort food is… a bowl of grits with cheese and butter!
My least favorite food is… eggs. Bleh!
My family’s holiday favorite is…Thanksgiving 🙂
