Graduate Research Assistant

Allie Reimold is a PhD student in the Department of Health Behavior at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. With training in psychology, statistics, and geographic information science, she is interested in health promotion and disease prevention through the identification of barriers to healthy lifestyles; the impact of location, place, and access to food on purchasing behavior; and if small changes in the retail food environment can effectively alter behavior. In collaboration with researchers on the Global Food Research Program team, Allie designs surveys and collects qualitative data on patient and practitioner experiences participating in food prescription programs.

My “go to” comfort food is… Vegan Mapo Tofu with extra Sichuan peppercorns for a little kick

When I’m in a time crunch, I love to make… Lentil soup. We like to throw lentils and any veg we have into the instant pot for a quick and hearty meal!
